Basecamp

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION COURSE
$150
/couple for groups of 3 couples or more
$200
for private course

Five hours of knowledge and practical measures that will assist and empower you and your partner during your birthing experience. (Can be taught over five 1-hour virtual sessions, or two 2.5-hour virtual sessions, at your convenience).

Course topics include:

  • Pregnancy and preparing your mind and body for birth

  • The labour and birthing process and recognizing the stages  

  • Strategies and comfort techniques during labour

  • Preparing for the unexpected during labour

  • Preparing birth strategies to communicate to your health care team

  • When baby arrives

  • Partner empowerment—helping you know your role

  • Guidance for labouring through hospital COVID restrictions

the climb

PRENATAL & LABOUR/BIRTH SUPPORT
$900

Includes the following:

  • Two 1-hour prenatal visits with you and your birth partner to review birth preferences and answer questions regarding preparation for your baby’s birth, and to discuss and demonstrate comfort techniques to assist you during your pregnancy and labour.

  • Text, call, and email support throughout pregnancy

  • On call 24/7 at 38 weeks

  • Continuous support for the duration of your labour and birth. This includes comfort measures, positioning, use of peanut balls, emotional support and respite for your partner.*

  • Assist with first feed upon request following birth.

  • One-Postpartum visit (at your desired time) to process birth and answer any questions about early postpartum.

*If COVID restrictions do not allow me to be in the hospital, you or your partner can text, call or FaceTime during labour.

Recovery & next steps

POSTPARTUM NIGHT SUPPORT
$35/hr
(7pm-7am. Minimum 6 hr shifts)

Night Support is to help your family rest and re-energize for the next day. An overnight shift is designed to meet your unique needs and may include the following:

Upon arrival, we check in with your needs and discuss baby’s supplies and sleeping arrangements.       

  1. Upon arrival, we check in with your needs and discuss baby’s supplies and sleeping arrangements.

  2. If nursing, you feed baby before you go to bed for the night.        

  3. I take over baby care till next feed. I will change, comfort, sooth till baby is asleep.

  4. Once baby is sleeping, I will do light housework (dishes, sweeping) and meal prep for next day.

  5. When baby awakes, I’ll bring baby to nursing parent or give a bottle. 

  6. Repeat last 3 steps till shift end.

  7. Upon request, I will prepare breakfast.

Rate reductions offered based on hours booked and paid ahead.

 

Additional services

INFANT MASSAGE COURSE
$100

Five 60-90 minute classes over five weeks. Course is held in a group setting for parent and child to bond through positive touch techniques and group discussions. Certified by the International Association of Infant Massage.
